OBS Deck does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us or to any third party.
What the app stores, and where
On your device
Your profiles, decks, tiles, colours and the host and port of each OBS connection are stored on the device. Passwords for OBS are stored in the device keychain.
Between your own devices
- The iPhone sends the configuration to the paired Apple Watch over Apple's WatchConnectivity, and the watch sends its edits back. This stays between your two devices.
- OBS passwords sync between your devices through iCloud Keychain, under your Apple Account's protection.
- If you use Back up to iCloud, the backup file is written to your own iCloud Drive. It never contains passwords. Only you and the devices signed in to your Apple Account can read it.
- Exported files are created on request and go wherever you choose to share or save them.
To OBS Studio
The app talks only to the OBS computer you configure, over its WebSocket server, to send commands and read the current state. Nothing else is contacted.
Permissions
- Local network: to reach OBS on your network.
- Camera: only while scanning the OBS connect QR code. No images are stored or sent anywhere.
- Live Activities, widgets and Siri: run on the device; Siri requests for OBS Deck's own actions are handled by Apple's App Intents on the device.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
